Thank god we
receive news papers and can surf thru net. If you just keep watching TV, then
you may feel G20 summit is another big event organized by Modi and may think
that Mr. Modi is the only great leader on this glob.
What is expected from
a country’s PM, when he visits other country? Does he visit to that country, to
charm our migrated brothers and sisters and doubly charm TV viewers back in our
country? Is he expected to talk to the country's parliament? Is he supposed
to finalize different agreements between the two countries, may it be
about security, trade or investment? Is he not supposed to see to it
that the export to that country increases?
Last couple of days, our media is making a fuss about PM's Australia visit after 28 years. Mr. Modi visited this country for G20 Leaders' Summit. This visit is not a visit like Japan or US.

If we look at
our past record with Australia then the picture is not bad.
Since independence we started our relationship with Australia.
Till year 1990 the Export to the country started rising steadily. It was
around 15-20 millions Australian $. Since then in last 28 years it increased to
250 Million A$. Don't you think these figures are worth applauding?
The media is painting
this picture with shining colours and hence the failure of signing the most
important uranium agreement is unseen. What was the focus of G20
summit ? The anti-corruption group was formed way back in 2010 and not because
of Mr. Modi. This is mainly because of the efforts of Financial Action Task Force and other financial organisations. India
could get a place in G20 because of past government's efforts and not because
of Mr. Modi’s 3 months work.
